To that end, COA has developed a courtyard that places a premium on human interaction. Featuring landscaped elements that encourage people-watching, this covered area offers a welcoming and comfortable space for a variety of shops and restaurants. It is also designed to host events such as weekend markets or product launches.
The design of this shopping centre incorporates enduring principles using materials such as polished concrete, face brick, and concrete soffits, which require minimal maintenance and upkeep. An interesting feature of the shopping centre is its unique covered walkway, which is made from off-shutter concrete. The design is uncluttered, with signage located above the shopfronts and walkway lighting on the columns. Additionally, the columns serve to conceal the stormwater downpipes.
